Happy shopping! “Never get your hands mucky again with this simple tool for refitting a dropped chain” Road.cc recently reported on Rehook. Stating that the tool aims to make it super easy to get the chain back on the crankset, all while keeping your hands and fingers clean. The tool makes a great gift on the run up to fathers day for any cycling dad! "Perfect" The article recognised the need for the tool and how even the top cyclists cant escape derailing a chain. “In an ideal world, of course, the chain would never derail but it does happen from time to time, it even happens to the world’s best professional cyclists.” The article covered launching the product with 3D printing and the recent move to mass production based in the UK. The article sparked comments on preferred foliage or digits currently used for the job, as well why Rehook makes it much cleaner and easier. "You could make do with an Allen tool or tyre lever to get the chain back on, but Rehook is designed to make it much easier and simpler. The lever has a hook on the end to pull the chain into place, and the handle keeps your hand away from the oily chain." We suggest you check out the video to see how easy Rehook is to use. Or get your own at rehook.bike and try it first hand! Rehook was recently featured on Cycled.cc. Rehook is the original tool to get your chain back on your bike. It weighs just 20 grams and attaches to your bike, so it’s always at hand when you need it. The review site, dubbed "the soul of cycling", gave Rehook an impressive 5 out of 5 stars for Durability and 4/5 for Function. "I was very impressed with the function of the Rehook. It holds the chain securely and you can pull the chain quite hard if it needs to be rescued from a wedged-in position" The review highlighted the pains of fitting a dropped chain and the mess that ensues on oily hands and handle bars. "A dropped chain is one of the most infuriating and messy calamities that can befall a cyclist" "Even the most well-adjusted drivetrain can lose its way, and when it does we will usually find ourselves grappling with chain and chainrings in the effort to get everything back in place." The article covered the background of Rehook, including how it was developed and taken to market using 3D printing. It also covered the recent move to mass production and planned availability in retail stores.
You may have spotted us in Triathlon Plus magazine over Christmas. Rehook was included in their Christmas Gift Guide which listed 25 top gift ideas. "That unmistakable ker-klunk sound of a bike chain detaching will no longer trigger despair, panic and oily hands thanks to this nifty Rehook tool" The guide, which described Rehook as a "nifty tool" featured a series of 25 fantastic gifts including:
...and of course a subscription to your favourite Triathlon Plus magazine! We recently met Max Glaskin, author and award-winning freelance journalist who writes for Cycling Weekly. Max wrote an article for Cycling Weekly explaining the launch of Rehook and a little about how we got started. The article also showed a video of the "innovative chain tool" in action "Just when you thought you’d got every single bike tool you could possibly need, along comes another." We had a fantastic time at The Cycle Show at the NEC this weekend. Our stand was next to the Tour of Britain Cafe and what a great launch it was for Rehook! We got our first retailers on-board as well as some great feedback from both the press and customers. I'm very pleased to report that we SOLD OUT of our Rehook stock at the show. We couldn't be happier to know that there are hundreds of other people out there that are fed up with oily hands and trapped fingers. We're heading straight back to the office get production ramped up! - Rehook Demonstrations at stand D71
